According to an article on MSNBC, people who choose walking as their form of cardio may not be walking fast enough.  Experts recommend engaging in moderately intense activity at least 5 times a week.  In order for your walking efforts to reach this level of intensity, you need to count your steps per minute.  The magic number - A minimum of 100 steps per minute are necessary for you to achieve a moderate-intensity workout.
