Here’s another weekend challenge for you. You’ve been dying for flatter abs, right? Well, this challenge is an attempt at giving you a taste of what an effective abdominal workout should feel like. See how far you get and report back to us on Monday.
V-Sit Crunches and the Mason Twist
The Challenge
The V-Sit Crunch is an excellent exercise for strengthening the core. It is a more advanced move that really works both the upper and the lower abdominals, while engaging your other muscles for maintaining balance and coordination.
Start with the V-Sit Crunch and do as many as you can. Your focus should be on doing no less than 10 reps but you might not make it past 5. Rest for 60 seconds and then continue on to the Mason Twist for 20 reps. Rest for 60 seconds and go back to the V-Sit Crunch (If you can).
If you are able to complete 3 rounds of V-Sit Crunches and 3 rounds of Mason Twists, you’re doing really well. If not, just continue to build up your strength. You’ll be flying through these in no time.
